Violence at Speakers' Corner - Still from Urban Pictures UK video clip

This week has once again been dominated by threats to our freedom of speech.

Martin Sellner, leader of Generation Identity was due to give a speech at Speakers’ Corner, Hyde Park, London. As the UK authorities refused Mr. Sellner entry into the country (along with Brittany Pettibone and Lauren Southern), Tommy Robinson gave the speech instead in his absence today (Sunday 18). It should be emphasized that the views expressed in the speech were not necessarily those of Mr. Robinson. Mr. Robinson gave this speech purely as an act of defiance against our increasingly authoritarian government. You can read the speech here, from Breitbart:

Thousands Gather in London’s Speakers’ Corner to Hear Tommy Robinson Deliver Banned Right-Wing Activist’s Speech

There were some scuffles including this incident where a Muslim attacked the crowd with a stick:

A woman can be seen breaking the stick in this longer clip, from Urban Pictures UK:

Tommy Robinson was in the news a lot this week, in another incident he interviewed Lord Pearson. The interview caused a stir in the House of Lords apparently, according to the BBC:

UKIP peer criticised over Tommy Robinson meeting

The group-think bubble doesn’t like being burst – they mustn’t talk to the common people to find out what’s really going on! A quote from the above article:

Home Office Minister Baroness Williams said she was dismayed to see “certain quite extreme people” invited to the Palace of Westminster.

They didn’t mind having a transgender activist around who was convicted of manslaughter and attempted rape a little while ago though, so the definition of extreme that the Baroness has in mind must be different from the one us ordinary citizens normally use we suppose. No problem at all for THESE sort of extremists to be hosted of course (we might be tempted to call these ones REAL extremists as opposed to the fake news variety):, courtesy of Baroness Warsi (from the Daily Telegraph 2015):

Islamic ‘radicals’ at the heart of Whitehall

From the Daily Telegraph, we hear of another attack on Freedom of Speech, we are speechless:

King’s College London shuts its own lecturer’s talk on free speech

Last week we mentioned that Britain First leaders Paul Golding and Jayda Fransen had been convicted and sentenced to 18 and 36 weeks in prison respectively. This week it has been reported that Paul Golding has been assaulted and suffered a broken nose in prison. Clearly the prison authorities knew very well that he was at risk from certain sections of the prison population, and so sadly we can only conclude that the prison authorities effectively to all intents and purposes deliberately put Mr. Golding in harm’s way. From the BBC:

Britain First leader Paul Golding attacked at HMP Elmley

This is obviously not only unacceptable, but in a sane and fair society it would constitute some sort of criminal act. In the US there is a concept called “reckless endangerment”, but unfortunately there is no similar concept in the UK and people talk instead about the “duty of care”, which is not a legal concept. If anybody has any ideas about whether there are any laws that are applicable here please let us know in the comments below. Unfortunately the fundamentally important principle of equality before the law has been forgotten in today’s multi-cultural UK.

Facebook has also banned the Britain First group from Facebook:

Taking Action Against Britain First

The government are giving the Britain First leaders a huge publicity gift.

From the Mirror, a report on the latest grooming scandal, this time from Telford:

Britain’s ‘worst ever’ child grooming scandal exposed: Hundreds of young girls raped, beaten, sold for sex and some even KILLED

Also on this story, from Breitbart:

‘Despicable’: Police Memo Said Telford Girls ‘Consented’ to Sex Abuse with Groomers

Also from Breitbart, a look at a government report that quotes from the 2011 census that 770,000 people in UK don’t speak English:

770,000 People in UK Don’t Speak English, Govt Announces New Crackdown on Sharia Law

The government report quoted in the above article:

Equality Statement for Integrated Communities Strategy Green Paper

Quote from the report:

Tackling injustices and inequalities, including amongst deprived and ethnic minority communities, also helps to address grievances built on the perception that not everybody in Britain has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

So, we can expect more “equality” legislation and other types of govt. meddling to follow no doubt, the problem is apparently everybody’s fault except the fault of the people who are not working.

Taking a single year (2015) the highest rates of female economic inactivity in the UK, across all working age groups, are found among Pakistani/Bangladeshi women

The Islamophobic report also claimed that:

Of all BME groups the evidence suggests that Pakistani and Bangladeshi diaspora have had and continue to have the highest levels of residential concentrations/clustering compared with other groups over the last 3 decades of census returns

No doubt the authors of the report will be charged with a hate crime for those observations.

From the Daily Telegraph:

Migrants claim £4bn a year in benefits, new report claims

From the Guardian:

Man ‘allowed FGM to be performed on his daughter as punishment’

An Iraqi migrant was convicted of planting the bomb on the Parsons Green tube train that fortunately did not result in any fatalities. From the BBC:

Parsons Green attack: Iraqi teenager convicted over Tube bomb

We were reminded that the government’s Prevent strategy does not seem to be working very well:

Parsons Green tube bomber was referred to Prevent programme

From the Daily Mail (follow them: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook)

Why did Home Office place Iraqi refugee - who became Parsons Green bomber – with foster family even though he was trained by jihadis and hated Britain?

The above article states that the foster parents were not told about his jihadi training with IS, and they are now complaining to the Home Office (that’s the dept. that Amber Rudd is supposed to be in charge of).
